Improv and Psychology with Kiki Hohnen
Character and Relationship Dynamics
This workshop uses three aspects of psychological theory to help deepen your character work: We’ll use Leary’s Rose to explore the dynamics of two-person relationships and play with status and connection. (Sounds vague, but I promise you it’s a ton of fun!)
Next, we’ll use the NEO-PI personality traits to give you fun tools to build realistic characters. -How self-conscious, agreeable, neurotic, (and more) can your character be? The final part explores Cattell’s Trait Theory of Personality, with 16 factors to help you build new and unexpected characters!
Introduction to Improvised Plays with Kevin Miller
Narrative Longform Fundamentals
You feel comfortable creating an improvised scene that lasts for five minutes. What if the scene were 30 minutes, or an hour? In this workshop, Kevin Miller introduces you to the rich artform of long-form narrative improv. Starting from your experience creating short and longform improv scenes, you’ll learn how to connect the dots and produce a story longer and richer than you’ve ever made before.
Workshops culminate in a performance that night

Do It Again with Kiki Hohnen
Scene Skills with Coaching
In improv class and rehearsals, we often get feedback after the scene is done, giving us little chance of incorporating the notes immediately.
This workshop has you rewind parts of the scene, trying different skills and playing with them immediately to see where they take you. Kiki side-coaches you and helps you break your patterns to help you get the most out of your rehearsal time.
Playing From the Wings with Kevin Miller
Proactive Side Support
The side of the stage is one of the most powerful places to be in improv. If you watch a scene passively, it might die on the stage. But with the right entrance, line, or sound effect, you can make it truly great. Kevin Miller will teach you how to hone your instinct for an offer from the sidelines—know when to join the scene, when to stay off, and how to seamlessly become part of the show.
Time: 11:00am - 2:00pm, check in at 10:45.
Price: 45€ (includes free admission to Jam 26 Nov and Show 27 Nov)
Participants must be vaccinated or provide a negative COVID-19 test from 25 or 26 November to participate. Masks will be required inside the workshop but not for performances. (Contact us if you need assistance for COVID testing.)
