Welcome to Barcelona Improv Festival
We are excited to finally return after a long absence. In 2023 we will celebrate our triumph over many adversities to highlight themes of renewal, redemption, and reclamation.
See below for information on workshops, shows, travel and accommodation, social events, and COVID protocols.
Stay tuned here for more information about applications, registrations, and more. Here’s what we know right now (as of 1 March, 2023):
The festival will kick off with a welcome party and jam on Wednesday 25 October.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will feature workshops from 10am-5pm and shows from 8pm-11pm at RAI and The Comedy Clubhouse
Workshop teachers were selected from those accepted for the cancelled 2020 festival, plus invited guests, and there will be no teacher applications this year.
Each night will feature performances from 2 teams selected from applications and 2 mixer teams.
Applications for teams are now open. If you are interested in applying with your group, you will be asked to share a sample video, website, social media, and a description of the show you’ll perform. There will be no application fee, but all performers will have to pay a registration fee.
Registration will include free show passes, invitations to all social events, discounts on workshop, welcome bag, and more.
Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to stay in the loop as news develops.

Workshops will be 2, 3, 5, or 10 hours long. Some will culminate in a mixer performance.
