The Workshops - Saturday 25 June
Liron Levin - Beyond Words
Description: In real life, do we always say what we think? What we mean? Or do we also speak with our eyes? Our tone?
In this workshop we will focus on the dialog hidden behind the words. When talking, we might tend to try and hide our failures behind worlds and explanations, but our tone and body language reveals the truth. In this workshop we will celebrate the mistakes, instead of hiding them, like children and clowns do.
We will explore the various methods to deliver a subtext which can be complementary, or even contradictory, to the text delivered by our words. We will experiment both with revealing our subtext and hiding it. We will create scenes with no words but full of meaning. We will see how it can influence the scene and raise it to be more authentic. We will explore our tone, tempo, pauses, breathing, emotions and many more and reveal additional layers of dialogs.
Time and Date: Saturday 25 June, 11am-1pm
Location: Z95 Art Home (Ciutadella)
Price: 20€ (or 30€ for both workshops)
Ignacio Grinstein - Clown for Normal People
Description: The nose is the precise mask to response to a very specific demand: honesty. We want to see you in your greatest sincerity, away from the obligatory smile that education has taught us really well. There, when I don't have to please, or try to make the audience laugh, when I just let my deepest feeling take over, only then, all the potentialities unfolds on one single moment. A sigh, a look or a moving finger, is enough to unleash the most generous laugh or the deepest sigh. And then the audience will be with you, lowering their defenses cause you did it first in front of them.
From this artistic state we will immerse ourselves in to the scenic construction, and then take our clown nose off and investigate where the scene takes us, remaining faithful to the spirit of the moment and what kind of stories will be born from it.
Time and Date: Saturday 25 June, 2pm-4pm
Location: Z95 Art Home (Ciutadella)
Price: 20€ (or 30€ for both workshops)
