About This Course
Play For Keeps is a course designed to help improvisers create scenes that have higher stakes and emotional depth. Play scenes that matter, where the audience is compelled by the characters and relationships on stage. Actors will be pushed to make strong choices, react truthfully, and play with integrity. These scenes can be comedic, dramatic, or a delightful mix of both.
The focus of this course will be scenework, and less about formats, with side coaching and notes.
COVID Protocols
As public health advisories change, we will adjust our requirements. We will adapt to regulations as they change, even if it is mid-course.
Currently, masks will be required for the duration of the course. Students may have to share their vaccination and/or recovery status with the school. This will not be shared with any other entity or individual.
If you are experiencing COVID symptoms or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive, you must not attend class. Partial refunds will be given for students who miss classes due to COVID safety. (Documentation may be requested in order to receive partial refunds)
Other Notices
Classes must be paid for with an online payment or deposit+cash by the first day of class. Payment plans can be arranged by email.
Deposits are non-refundable. Courses are not pro-rated based on attendance.
Photo and video may be taken during the course and used for promotional purposes. Contact us if you wish for a photo or video to be taken down.
Participants assume full risk of illness, injury, or death when participating in a class or event.
