About This Weekend
Join us for a weekend of Improv Theatre, Personal Connection, Body Positivity, and Self Discovery. For 48 hours, we are going to leave behind the stresses of the city and the outside world and share a weekend of play and connection with a small group of people.
We will spend the weekend in a beach house in El Masnou, 25 minutes outside of Barcelona, where we will have workshops in improvisation focusing on connection and empathy, plus work in movement and body connection, games, community-building, and meditation.
The group will be limited to 10 participants, and COVID testing will be required. Participants can have a single bed for 185€, or share a bed with a preferred partner or someone of the same gender for 165€. Prices include accommodation, meals, 14 hours of workshops, and COVID test.
About Your Teachers
Noah Levin has taught and performed improv, theatre, and stand-up comedy professionally since 2001. Based in Barcelona since 2011, Noah was a founding member of Barcelona Improv Group, creating the Barcelona Improv Festival and the BIG School of Improv. He teaches and coaches improv actors and trains businesses in applied improvisation.
Marcela Variani is a philosopher, writer, traveler, artist, and educational researcher. She has a degree in Philosophy from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande (BR). She holds a masters degree in Pedagogy of Expression from University of Roma Tre (IT). She is currently studying Philosophy for Children at University of the Azores (PT) and Therapeutic Theatre at Espailudic - Escola Gestalt de Catalunya (ES).
COVID Protocols
The group will meet at Cafe Zurich in Plaza de Catalunya on Friday at 18h. We will all take a COVID self test together, then preview the weekend while we wait for test results. If someone tests positive, they will not be able to join for the weekend. For those testing negative, once we arrive at the beach house, masks and distancing will not be required.
If you are experiencing COVID symptoms or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive, you must not attend the retreat. Partial refunds will be given for participants who miss the event due to COVID safety. (Documentation may be requested in order to receive partial refunds)
Other Notices
Classes must be paid for with an online payment or deposit+cash by the first day of class. Payment plans can be arranged by email.
Deposits are non-refundable. Courses are not pro-rated based on attendance.
Photo and video may be taken during the course and used for promotional purposes. Contact us if you wish for a photo or video to be taken down.
Participants assume full risk of illness, injury, or death when participating in a class or event.
